We are avid snowmobilers ourselves and your safety is our first concern. With advance notice of your arrival and departure times, the safety of your trip can be monitored from the lodge.-- We also have a wide track Skidoo Skandic with recovery skitter if required.

Ice Fishing- Equipment available at the lodge. Also a heated fishing hut, snowmobile transport and guiding available with advance notice. Bring a few of your smaller fish back to the lodge and we will prepare them for you.
Xcountry Skiing, Snowshoeing- Weather permitting, it is a beautiful ski in from Reid Lake. For the seasoned long distance skier, try the trail from YK to the lodge. Full GPS & google earth trail coordinates available upon request. There are many trails out from the lodge for that day trip.
Aurora Viewing- right from the comfort of the lodge dining room.
How to get to Hearne Lake- From Yellowknife - you can snowmobile to Hearne Lake Lodge from YK by way of Duck Lake, Jennejohn, Reid and Harding Lake, or trailer your machines to Reid Lake Territorial Park on the Ingraham Trial, then snowmobile in on the leisurely flat beginners trail with 9 marked portages. It is a leisurely 1 1/2 hour trip, Reid Lake to Hearne Lake on the old gold mine winter road by way of Harding to Hearne Lake.

For those without a snowmobile, you can fly in from YK with one of the local carriers, Air Tindi or Arctic Sunwest. Arrange your own flight or let us do it for you, quoted at time of trip. Basic daily rate and air charter rate apply.
